Insecurity: Yobe Gov Assures Security Agencies Of More Support

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has assured more support to security operatives in the state in a bid to enhance their performance for a secured state.

Governor Buni in a statement issued by his media aide, Mamman Mohammed, gave the assurance in his office on Friday when he was presented with the award won by Operation Haba Maza security outfit as the best police patrol outfit in Nigeria, by the Nigeria Police Force.

It would be recalled that Buni established Operation Haba Maza in 2019 as an emergency support to the conventional security agencies in the state.

Governor Buni commended security agencies in the state for the synergy and teamwork, which has grossly reduced the rate of crime across the state.

The commissioner of Yobe State Police Command, Garba Ahmed, commended the governor for establishing the Haba Maza outfit.

“The outfit has remained a strong pillar of fighting crime in Damaturu the state capital and its environs.

“Your Excellency, we would appreciate an extension of the outfit to other major towns in the state to help us curb crime,” he appealed.
