Oluchi Nzemechi, a 27-year-old lady from Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, has been taken into custody after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, Kelechi Nzemechi, to death over a disagreement on the distribution of proceeds from their internet business, Yahoo Yahoo.

Speaking after her arrest, Oluchi narrated how her lover, Kelechi lured her into cybercrime as she admitted to the crime.

According to her, she and her supposed boyfriend managed to defraud an Indonesian of 250 million rupiahs. When she and her boyfriend were debating how the money would be divided, a fight broke out, and she stabbed him with a kitchen knife.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Henry Okoye, the suspect stated that after she found he was dead, she sought to exonerate herself of the murder. She took up a piece of paper and scribbled.

“You think you can eat my money and go free? I am baba for the boys. I am coming for your wife and your child, including your family,” and placed it on the lifeless body of the victim before running away from the house.

The announcement further stated that upon additional interrogation, the suspect revealed that she had been living with the victim since 2019 and had a child with him.

The police spokesperson stated that all essential efforts have been made to recover the suspected 250 million Indonesian Rupiah for possible restitution to the owner.

“The suspect is currently undergoing investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department and will certainly be arraigned in court,” the release partly stated.
