
Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd) is set to head the Abia State Security Advisory Council constituted by Governor Alex Otti.
Governor Otti also constituted the Board of the State Security Trust Fund.
In a press release issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Kazie Uko, said while General Ihejirika chairs the Security Advisory Council, retired DIG Uche Ivy Okoronkwo will serve as the vice.
Others are, retired Director of DSS, Mr Ray Nkemdirim, retd Major General Abel Obi Umahi, AVM Emmanuel Chukwu retd, Major General JO Nwaogbo retd and Navy Cmdr Macdonald Uba retd, as Secretary.
On the other hand, Chief Stanley Obiamarije serves as chairman of the Security Trust Fund, while Owelle Greg Okafor, Mrs Ngozi Ekeoma and
Chief Johnson Chukwu will serve as a member. Other members include Mrs Josephine Nweze, Mrs Nkechi Obi and Mr Bank-Anthony Okoroafor.
According to the release the appointments take immediate effect.
