Chief Yomi Alliyu (SAN), lawyer to Chief Sunday Adeyemo (a.k.a. Sunday Igboho), the detained Yoruba Nation agitator, has described the statement by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, that political solution might be found to the case of his client and Nnamdi Kanu, as kite flying strategy, and that no force in the world can subdue self-determination. Alliyu made this clarification in a press release he made available to Saturday Telegraph in Ibadan, Oyo State capital as a reaction to the Arise TV interview of the AGF.
He told the “Federal Government and its 37th State of Benin Republic” to release his client and allow him go for medical treatment in Germany. The release said: “We have the consent of Chief Sunday Adeyemo (a.k.a Igboho Oosa) to react to the olive branch extended to him by the Attorney General of Federation in what we regard as kite flying strategy at Arise TV as reported by all the dailies on November 10, 2021.
“Our client as a peace loving person is glad that the Federal Government has allowed reasons to prevail in realizing that no force on earth can subdue the mantra of self determination by an indigenous people save referendum and/ or sense of belonging and fair treatment of all tribes in accordance with the rule of law.”
