Weeks after its launch, Icedotcoms bridal collection continues to make waves. While delving into the intriguing details that made the collection alluring and compelling, it is important to eulogise the brand for its consistency over the last few years.
The way Icedotcom makes culture-centric bridal designs with aesthetically pleasing patterns and colour choices gives an insight into the synergy its Creative Director, Frederick Chukwuemeka Izuchukwu Onwuzuruoha has created within his team.
The Icedotcoms product development strategy, fast-paced but detail-oriented designs and finesse execution, all combined to facilitate the success of its numerous deliveries to clients across the Southeast of Nigeria, as well as the collections that form part of its fashion gallery. No wonder, style icons have described the fashion brand as a ‘pacesetter’ in the bridal design sector of the industry.
So futuristic is Icedotcoms vision that it leads by creating unique fashion trends. In fact, the brand’s 3rd bridal collection for three years in a row is nothing but an absolute work of art! The launch, which was held on April 16, 2023, stirred up a beautiful feeling of class and panache in every attendee.

Women often daydream about the kind of bride they wish to be, and there is a beautiful obsession not only in the design of their wedding attires but also in how they would look in it. For this reason, Icedotcom has chosen to make all its clientele brides experience memorable weddings akin to what they actually planned.
Icedotcoms Ego-Oyibo Collection was designed to make every bride look like a million-dollar project. The collection features an assortment of luxury fabrics for top-quality and attention-grabbing wedding styles.
According to a vividly excited Frederick Onwuzuruoha, the collection was inspired by the bedtime conversations between his mother and his sisters, about what brides should look like on their wedding day. Ego-Oyibo, which means foreign currency, was a term often used by his mum to describe every prospective bride. Therefore, he created that exclusive collection by simply imagining it in the contemporary setting.

The Ego-Oyibo Collection had different designs peculiar to different tribes of the country. These include complete traditional wedding attires for the Benin, Yoruba and Igbo brides. They are made of fabrics like Akpoche, Akwete, Ankara, Velvet, Lace, George, Atampa and even Aso-ofi. However, some designs had mixes of more than two fabrics just to allow for diversity in the styles.
At the end of it all, the attendees were blown away by the garments on display, hoping to see more of Icedotcoms fashionable bridal wear in the near future.
