Huawei Honours Siatech Africa For Outstanding Regional Telecom Collaboration

African engineering and telecom solutions provider, Siatech Africa, has received major recognition at the 2024 Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa Partner Convention, underscoring its growing influence in regional technological collaboration and infrastructure innovation.

The company, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Olanrewaju Olaniyan, was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution Award for Regional Key Projects for its contribution to digital transformation through strategic partnerships and innovative engineering solutions across West Africa.

Olaniyan described the award as a validation of Siatech Africa’s commitment to collaboration-driven progress.

“This recognition means a great deal to us because it validates the kind of partnership we’ve been intentional about building — one that goes beyond contracts and deliverables to real collaboration and shared success,” he said.

He noted that the award reflects the hard work and dedication of the company’s engineers and technical teams.

“For my team, this honour represents the strength of that partnership — the late nights, the problem-solving, and the shared commitment to excellence that have defined our journey so far,” he added.

The Siatech Africa boss emphasised that collaboration remains the engine of innovation on the continent.

“No single company can drive digital transformation alone. The best outcomes come from partnerships where each side brings its strengths to the table, and that’s exactly what this award symbolises for us,” Olaniyan said.

He said that Siatech Africa has played a central role in building and maintaining the physical and digital infrastructure supporting connectivity across Sub-Saharan Africa.

According to Olaniyan, the company’s key contributions include network rollout, fibre deployment, energy-efficient site upgrades, and optimisation projects.

He explained that the company’s operational efficiency, innovation, and consistency across multiple markets — including Ghana and Liberia — were pivotal to earning Huawei’s recognition.

“Even as a young company, we’ve proven that reliability and performance are not a function of size, but of discipline, teamwork, and the right mindset,” he noted.

Olaniyan also highlighted Siatech Africa’s investment in sustainability, citing its adoption of solar-powered and green site solutions that reduce operational costs and environmental impact.

Looking ahead, the CEO said the award will propel the company to explore new frontiers such as network intelligence, renewable infrastructure, and digital integration.

“The future of telecom is about convergence — how connectivity, software, and sustainability come together to create real value,” he said.

He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to youth empowerment, adding that Siatech Africa will continue to mentor and train young professionals to lead Africa’s next wave of innovation.

“The next generation of African engineers should not just be participants in the digital revolution — they should be shaping it,” Olaniyan said.

“At Siatech Africa, we see every recognition as fuel to dream bigger — to keep redefining what’s possible for African engineering and innovation. The best is still ahead,” he concluded.
