How Olamide, Asake Stole My Songs – Blackface

Prominent Nigerian singer, Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, better known as Blackface has accused YBNL boss, Olamide and his signee, Asake of stealing his songs.

Speaking in the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Blackface recounted how Olamide, particularly jacked many songs in his career.

He said, “Olamide and Asake steal songs. Olamide has stolen many songs in his career. He jacked ‘Don’t Stop’ from my song ‘Killa’.”

Blackface has also accused Wizkid and Burna Boy of stealing their collaborative hit song ‘Ginger’ from him, adding that ‘Ginger’ was inspired by his song ‘Twist & Turn.’

Speaking further, he said other artists not only stole his lyrics but also jacked the sounds he created.

The veteran artist stated that when he wanted to use the beat of P-Square’s ‘Do Me’ for his song ‘Erima’, he took permission from the producer, Joe.

He, however, highlighted that he doesn’t mind writing songs for Nigerian artists, especially Davido if properly approached.

BlackFace concluded that he has been trying to collaborate with Tiwa Savage for years, but she hasn’t responded to him.
