Israel’s military on Monday confirmed that four soldiers were killed in a Hezbollah drone strike at a military base in Binyamina, near Haifa, on Sunday.
The attack, which also left over 60 wounded, marks the deadliest assault on an Israeli base since September 23, as the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah escalates.
In retaliation, Israel expanded its bombardment of Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah strongholds.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the strike, launching a “squadron of attack drones” in response to Israeli airstrikes that killed at least 22 people in central Beirut.
