…He Was As Bright, Consummate Officer – Arase

Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Dr Solomon Arase, has described late Ibrahim Lamorde as a bright and consummate intelligence officer.

The Head of Press and Public Relations of PSC, Mr Ikechukwu Ani, said this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

Arase expressed shock over the death of Lamorde, a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and former Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

The PSC Chairman said the nation has lost one of its bright and consummate intelligence Officers who contributed immensely to the growth of intelligence policing in Nigeria.

He lauded Lamorde humility and temperate disposition to the allure of power.

“I recalled my advice to the late super cop after he left the services of the EFCC, not to get into mainstream policing immediately.

“I encouraged him to further horn his policing and leadership skills at the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
