HCSF Asks Civil Servants To Show Patriotism

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF) Didi Esther Walson-Jack has told civil servants to be dedicated to service as evidence of their patriotism as they celebrate the country’s 64th Independence. Walson-Jackson said this in her Independence message.

She said: “As we celebrate 64 years of Nigeria’s independence, let us reflect on your indispensable role in our nation’s development. “Your dedication and hard work are the backbone of government operations, making you the unsung heroes of our progress.

“As we celebrate our journey, we stand on the threshold of significant reforms to modernise our operations, enhance our skills, and build a more efficient, accountable, and responsive civil service.

“This vision, as outlined in the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025, is a roadmap that demands our unwavering commitment and patriotism.

“True patriotism means performing our duties with excellence, understanding that our daily efforts are the driving force behind Nigeria’s advancement.

“It is our diligence and hard work that bring about real progress, inspiring trust in government and creating a system that meets the needs of our people.

“The best gift we can offer our fellow Nigerians on this Independence Day anniversary is to continue the march to greatness, culminating in a civil service respected at home and admired globally.”
