It was a harvest of multiple births at the 72nd Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) which ends today, August 11.
The testimonies of hope regained and confidence renewed in God from the different testifiers who gave birth to twins, triplets, and quadruplets left many in awe of God’s awesomeness.
At the Convention with the theme ‘Heaven’, some of the testifiers shared part of their experiences in close to ten years/three decades of marriage without any record of pregnancy or miscarriage.
Divine breakthrough of conception came for them through successful Invitro Fertilisation (IVF) after failed attempts.
While some said they conceived naturally after several years of toiling. Also, one of the ministers, an Assistant Pastor, shared how she got married at 56 years old, after she held on to the prophecy by the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye in 2023 of attending this year’s convention with her husband.
Another woman testified of the breakage of her academic yoke after she held on to God for intervention and got her Bachelor’s degree after 20 years of delay.
There were testimonies of healings, the baby’s gender changed before delivery, and deliverance from ritualists among other testimonies.
At the programme there were sessions of teachings, prayers, high praise, hymns, and lyrical eulogy (ewi) from elders with the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye leading, the royal and traditional leaders were not left out as they also rendered some songs. Some Muslim leaders were also spotted as part of the delegates who graced the programme.
In his sermons, Adeboye advised individuals to be conscious of heaven. He urged Christians on to be particular about cleanliness, manifesting the fruits of the spirit, absolute holiness and being pure as light.
