Haaland Breaks His Scoring Duck In Norway’s Clash With Scotland

For most strikers, going five matches without scoring is not a big problem, but for Erling Haaland, it’s a crisis.

The Norway striker’s last goal came for Manchester City against Everton back on May 14.

He did have a goal disallowed at Brighton, but a run of five matches without scoring officially ended on Saturday evening when he found the net in Norway’s Euro 2024 qualifier with Scotland.

The 22-year-old striker scored from the penalty spot after he had been hauled down in the box to get his name back on the scoresheet for the first time in over a month.

That was the first goal Scotland had conceded in qualifying after winning their first two matches.
