Police Launch Investigation Into Death Of Corps Member In Ogun

At least six persons were reportedly killed,while many others numbering hundred were abducted after suspected gunmen stormed a hamlet in Sokoto State on Eid-El-Kabir, June 16.

The Sokoto Police Command, through its spokesman ASP Ahmed Rufai, confirmed the killing of over six people and the kidnapping of several civilians in Tudun Doki in  Gwadabawa local government area of the state.

ASP Ahmed Rufai confirmed the attack, but said details about the terrible incident are still unclear.

However, the Divisional Police Officer stationed in Gwadabawa is leading a team to the community to ascertain casualty counts and restore order.

He, however, said, “Six dead bodies were recovered by a search team, and effort is still ongoing to recover other missing persons.
Local said the suspected 7 gunmen attacked the community as early as 1:30 AM armed with sophisticated weapons and shot at anybody in sight as they abducted many residents in the community.
