
Following the brutal killing of a retired Brigadier General of the Nigerian Army, Uwem Harold Udokwe, the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Police Command has announced an investigation into the case.
Sunday Telegraph gathered that General Udokwe was murdered by gunmen alleged to be armed robbers in the nation’s capital on Saturday, June 22.
Confirming the development in a statement issued by the territory’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh said the deceased was attacked and killed at his Sunshine Homes Estate at 3 a.m. on Saturday.

She further stated that upon receipt of the incident report, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, “ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding this regrettable event.”
The PPRO added that the CP, in expressing condolences to the deceased’s relatives, guaranteed them and the public of prompt justice.
He promised that the perpetrators of the heinous act would be caught and brought to justice.
