Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have killed two farmers in the Onipi community, Adoka District of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
According to locals, other farmers were injured while some went missing in the attack which happened on Tuesday morning.
The residents said the victims were working on their farms when the invaders struck, saying one of the victims had recently completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The Caretaker Council Chairman of Otukpo LGA, Alfred Oketa Omakwu, confirmed the incident, adding that two farmers were killed.
Omakwu said 12 people were injured in the attack and have been taken to the hospital for treatment, while tricycles loaded with yams were burnt along the farm road.
He said it was the first time the Onipi community came under attack.
Meanwhile, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Catherine Anene, had yet to respond to calls for comments on the incident at the time of filing this report.
