Group Tasks Federal, States On Healthcare Infrastructure

The Civil Society in Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN) has urged the federal, state and local governments to prioritise healthcare infrastructure in their budgets.

Programme Officer Muktar Mohammed Shehu, under the period under review, said ACOMIN has recorded tremendous achievement in Yobe State.

Speaking at a press conference on the Global Fund Malaria CommunityLed Monitoring Project, the Niger State Coordinator Olasukanmi Kalejaiye said increased funding is essential for renovating and upgrading facilities.

He said: “Comprehensive policies should be implemented to ensure regular maintenance of healthcare infrastructure and timely replacement of outdated medical devices.”
