Gov Bago Congratulates NUJ Executives For Their Re-Election

The Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has congratulated the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmodu and other executives on their re-election to pilot the affairs of the union for the next three years.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor said the reelection of Comrade Nmodu and other officials depict an exceptional team work and collective vision of the executive members for continued growth and development of the Union.

He observed that the union has experienced unprecedented progress and development in the first tenure of the Comrade Nmodu led administration.

The farmer Governor enjoined the Chairman and other officials to redoubled their efforts in serving members of the Union so as to consolidate on the gains, while also taking deliberate steps to eliminate quacks among them to further address the challenges of fake news.

He reminded both the executives and members of the NUJ Niger State Council of their roles in the Society and stresses the need for them to be objective in their reportage as they are critical stakeholders in his administration’s New Niger Agenda.

The Governor reassures his administration’s unflinching support to the leadership and members of the Union, pointing out that the already existing cordial relationship between the State government and the Union would be strengthened for more mutually beneficial outcomes.
