The Apostolic Church Nigeria LAWNA Territorial Chairman and National Vice President, Pastor (Dr.) Senior Gabriel Okpako Uyeh has urged Christians not to give room for slackness in their walk and to work with God if they are indeed hopeful of receiving rewards of commendation at the Judgement seat. Uyeh made this known in his brief remarks on the theme of the 48th LAWNA Annual International Convention: ‘We must all appear at the Judgement seat of Christ’ at the International Convention grounds of The Apostolic Church Nigeria LAWNA Territory, Olorunda, Ketu, Lagos. He said that the theme becomes timely given the persisting depravity of man with wickedness and evil practices prevailing among men.
Therefore, a note of warning is coming to both the godly and the wicked, the righteous and the unrighteous that there is a judgement day coming, he said. He reminded us that everyone will stand before the Judgement seat and God who is no respecter of any man will pass judgment according to everyone’s work. He told the congregation that being slothful would deny them commendation before the Judgement seat and would defer any hope of receiving crowns.
The Vice President therefore urged the congregants to be active and do away with slackness in the kingdom business with God, be good citizens of their countries and with heavenly citizenship in mind. The convention which ran from Saturday 3 to Friday, August 9 had various speakers/preachers from diverse backgrounds, featuring bible teachings, revival and special prayers.
