The Dangote Refinery has refuted claims that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) is lifting petrol from its refinery at N897 per litre.
Debunking the purported report in a statement issued on Thursday, the Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, clarified that the company has yet to finalize its arrangements with NNPCL, making it impossible for any pricing decisions to have been made.
He said, “NNPCL has not commenced lifting of refined Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from our refinery.
“The issue of fixing the price of petrol from our refinery does not arise.”

The public has been urged to disregard the false reports, with assurances from the Dangote Group about their commitment to transparency.
Aliko Dangote, the Group CEO, confirmed that discussions with the Federal Executive Council are underway to determine a new pricing structure, and petrol will soon be available at filling stations.
