Foundation Equips Students, Community’s Skills On Safety Issues

The Akin Fadeyi Foundation (AFF) with support from the MacArthur Foundation, has under its “The Be Safe Initiative” sensitised, trained and equipped students and teachers with essential knowledge and skills to address and combat critical safety issues.

The ‘Be Safe Sensitisation Workshop’ marked a significant milestone in the annals of the Foundation in promoting safety awareness among students and members of staff in the area council. The theme of the sensitisation workshop, which was held at the GadisEvent Centre, Bwari Area Council in Abuja, was: “Empowered to Create Safe Spaces Online and Beyond.”

According to the Founder and Executive Director of AFF, Akin Fadeyi, the Be Safe Initiative bears testament to the group’s continued commitment to its Behavioural Change, Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) initiatives.
