Flight Operations Resume In Iran Amid Missile Attack On Israel

International and domestic flight operations in Iran have resumed operations hours after the country launched a missile strike targeting Israel.

New Telegraph reports that flights were temporarily suspended as a precaution after Iran launched 200 missiles at its long-standing adversary, marking its second direct attack following a missile and drone strike in April.

Flight operations resumed early on Thursday at 05:00 AM local time (0130 GMT), following a review of security conditions.

Jafar Yazarloo, spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organisation, confirmed the resumption, stating that restrictions were lifted after ensuring safe flight conditions.

“After ensuring favourable and safe flight conditions and ending the restrictions, airlines are allowed to carry out flight operations,” Yazarloo said, as quoted by the official IRNA news agency.

Meanwhile, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency has advised European airlines to avoid using Iranian airspace until October 31, while continuing to assess the security situation.

Similar advisories have been issued for airspace over Israel and Lebanon.
