Finally, Simi Opens Up On Romantic Proposal From Adekunle Gold

Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress, Simisola Kosoko, better known as Simi has opened up about how her husband, Adekunle Gold, proposed to her.

The mother of one shared the touching story while speaking in an exclusive chat on the “OFFTHETOP” show with VJ Adams.

According to Simi, Adekunle asked her to marry him just 10 days before her 30th birthday, completely catching her off guard, even though she usually isn’t easy to surprise.

She explained that the day started with them attending a friend’s mother’s birthday celebration, so she was already dressed for the occasion.

Later in the evening, despite being tired, Simi agreed to join Adekunle for dinner with his uncles at Eko Hotel.

As they approached the venue, Simi noticed candles at the entrance, thinking it was a sweet gesture from Adekunle’s family. Little did she know what was coming.

When they entered the room, she was welcomed by candles, flowers, and balloons.

Adekunle then got down on one knee and proposed. In shock and excitement, Simi said “Yes.”
