FG Declares Monday Public Holiday For Eid-Ul-Mawlid

The Federal Government on Friday declared Monday, September 16, 2024, a public holiday in celebration of Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, conveyed his congratulations to the Muslim community in Nigeria and abroad.

Announcing the public holiday, the Minister in a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr Magdalene Ajani encouraged citizens to use the occasion to pray for national peace and prosperity.
