Female Bankers Hail Top Colleagues’ Exemplary Performance

The Association of Professional Women Bankers have hailed the performances of female banks’ Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), saying they are making women proud.

The President of the association, Mrs Funke Ladimeji, said this at the 17th Annual Banking and Finance Conference in Abuja on Wednesday.

She described their performances as encouraging. Ladimeji said that more women inclusion in top leadership and middle class positions in banks was necessary to drive economic growth.

She said that sustaining and building on the progress would help sharpen the banking system. According to her, women currently occupy only 15 per cent of top leadership positions in banks. ”No woman can get to that peak if she does not have something significant to bring to the table.
