The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Commissioner, Benneth Igweh, has ordered an inquiry into the alleged killing of a Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) employee over the weekend by unknown persons.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the police command, Khalid Ahmed Bichi’s untimely death on May 10, 2024, at approximately 8:45 pm, prompted the Commissioner of Police FCT Command to order a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding this regrettable event.
According to the statement, “Expressing profound condolences to the bereaved family, CP Benneth Igweh unequivocally frowns on this cowardly act and assures both the family and the public of swift justice.”

He added, that the perpetrator(s) are being pursued with zeal and that every effort is being made to apprehend and prosecute them.
The statement explained that; CP Benneth Igweh underlined the FCT Police Command’s steadfast commitment to improving the territory’s security landscape by constantly adjusting measures to successfully combat evolving criminal activity.
It stated that further information on the situation would be supplied in due course.
