The family of the late Nollywood actor, Junior Pope has addressed the rumours making rounds on social media following the omission of the ‘husband’ description in the late actor’s funeral poster.
It would be recalled that the family recently announced the funeral arrangements for the late actor, scheduling his burial for May 17th, 2024, in his hometown in Enugu state.
Many Nigerians have, however, observed that the obituary poster did not include the term ‘husband’, which sparked speculation.
Meanwhile, before his passing, Junior Pope was married to Jennifer Awele, and they have three sons; although speculations surfaced about their separation.

Reacting to the viral burial posters, Junior’s family on Instagram, clarified that they did not authorize it. They acknowledged the need for corrections on the poster and requested the public’s assistance in taking down the viral burial posters.
The statement reads; “Dear Junior Pope Fans, I wanted to bring to your attention that the current poster of our late brother Junior Pope displayed needs some corrections.
“The family has requested your assistance in bringing it down. They mentioned that the revised version will be released soon. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation”.
