The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the electrocution of a casual worker at a plant in the Isolo district of the state.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command spokesperson, confirmed development on Wednesday, saying the incident was reported to the Aswani Police Division on Tuesday at 5:06 p.m. by the company’s management.
He further claimed that the manager informed the police that one of their casual employees got electrocuted while replenishing an industrial chiller with water.

According to a police official, the victim was promptly rushed to a private hospital in Isolo and later transferred to Isolo General Hospital.
Hundeyin stated that the man was declared dead by the doctor on duty upon arriving at the hospital.
“No physical injury was observed on the corpse. The body has been removed and deposited at the morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, investigation into the case is in progress,” he said.
