For Nigeria to achieve a sustainable education system and improve outcomes, it will require a multi-sectorial and multistakeholders’ approach and participation that will involve the government, the organised private sector, the academia, civil society organisations, community-based associations, and support of the citizenry.
The pioneer and past ViceChancellor of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Prof Sidi Osho, disclosed this yesterday in her keynote address at the Education Sector Television International (ESTV) National Education Stakeholders’ Conference 2024.
The keynote speaker, who expressed worry over the low performance level of candidates in this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), said that it showed that the schools that prepared the candidates for the examination are not doing well.
