Ex-Senators Form Advisory C’ttee On Youth Empowerment

At least fifteen former senators from the six geo-political zones of the country have formed an advisory committee to advise the federal government on how to reduce unemployment among the youth and design an empowerment framework for the government.

A two-term former senator from Ondo Central Senatorial District, Dr Ayo Akinyelure, who disclosed this in a statement, said the 15-man committee has the backing of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Umar Ganduje.

In the statement, Akinyelure lauded youths of the state for shunning the #Endbadgovernance protests. He revealed that youths across the country would be gainfully employed once the committee report is submitted to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for implementation.

The former senator, who is also the chairman of ‘Voices of supporters of the Tinubu-Shettima government’ said youth unemployment would be a thing of the past in the state and Nigeria in general if the planned programs of President Tinubu are fully rolled out and implemented.
