Ex-Minister Congratulates Aiyedatiwa, Seeks Devt Roadmap For Ondo

Former Minister of Defence, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, yesterday advised Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to set up a nonpartisan body to draw a development roadmap that will take the state to its promised land.

Kayode in his congratulatory message to Aiyedatiwa, asked the governor to use the remaining months left in his predecessor’s tenure to reconcile with all tendencies in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and prepare for the next political dispensation.

The senior advocate advised Aiyedatiwa to look forward to the general election with confidence while building bridges across party lines for the inevitable victory. Kayode tasked the governor to use the remaining months of the present tenure to get together a solid nonpartisan team to put in place a development plan for the progress of Ondo State, saying that; “Our State currently lacks a roadmap that can take it to its promised land.”

He asked the governor to look beyond party lines to draw to his side, young and brilliant indigenes who would be of immense benefit to the administration and the development of the state. After elections, the task of developing the state does not lie with an individual or a political party.

He said: “I congratulate a compatriot, friend and the incumbent governor of Ondo state, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for clinching the ticket of APC. No doubt, the party has displayed a total commitment to the ethos of democracy and embraced fairness.”
