Ex-Agric Commissioner Emerges Kano PDP Chair

Alhaji Ado Kibiya has been elected as the new Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Kano State. He was the Commissioner for Agriculture under the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso administration between 1999 and 2003.

Kibiya defeated two other contestants, Nura Nuhu and Sani Aliyu Muhammad with an overwhelming vote cast by 5,000 delegates.

The Election Committee Chairman Halilu Mazagani, who announced the results on Sunday, Kibiya secured a landslide victory, garnering 3,964 votes to defeat his opponent, Nura Nuhu, who scored 244 votes.
