Everton Desperate To Land Chukwueze

Everton are reportedly setting their sights on AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Sean Dyche’s side has struggled to find the back of the net, managing just nine goals from their first eight Premier League games.

Currently sitting 16th in the table, Everton’s need for offensive reinforcements is clear, and Chukwueze has emerged as a prime target.

The Super Eagles winger, who joined AC Milan from Villarreal during the summer transfer window, has found himself playing second fiddle to Christian Pulisic.

The Nigerian winger has made only two starts in all competitions as Pulisic’s fine form has seen him lock down the right-wing position at Milan.

This lack of game time has caught the attention of Everton, who are keen to inject pace and creativity into their attack. According to Football Insider, the Everton hierarchy is actively pursuing a right-winger, with Chukwueze at the top of their list.

However, securing the Nigerian international could prove to be a difficult task. Despite his limited appearances, AC Milan may be reluctant to let Chukwueze leave so soon after acquiring him.

Financially, a move for Chukwueze will hold no barring effects on the Merseysiders as they have plenty of cash to splash as The Friedkin Group are expected to financially back the manager when the transfer window opens.

The expected new owners envision Everton as a club that should be above relegation battles and therefore want to spend as much as possible to strengthen the squad on every front.

Everton currently sit 16th in the Premier League table after a difficult start to the season that has seen them win just one of their opening seven fixtures.
