ETI Names Senegalese As Chairman

Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) has appointed a Senegalese, Papa Madiaw Ndiaye as chairman of the Board of Directors. He was appointed during the 36th General Assembly of the bank in Lome, Togo. Ndiaye succeeded Cameroonian Alain Nkontchou, who was appointed on June 30, 2020, during the 32nd AGM held in Lagos, Nigeria.

Nkontchou is stepping down as chairman of ETI’s Board of Directors after Enko Capital, an investment fund co-founded with his brother Cyrille Nkontchou became the Ecobank Group’s sixth largest shareholder.
