#EndBadGovernance Protest: Jigawa Police Prosecutes 390 Suspects Out Of 400

The Jigawa State Police Command has prosecuted no fewer than 390 protesters out of the 400 suspects arrested during the recent anti-hunger protest in the state.

The State Commissioner of Police, Mr A.T. Abdullahi made this disclosure while speaking to newsmen in Dutse on Thursday, saying the arrested protesters were from the 10 Local Government Areas of the State affected by the unfortunate events.

He said the protesters were apprehended during the protest for vandalizing and looting government and public properties in the State.

“We arrested 400 protesters and out of the number 390 have been prosecuted while the case the remaining suspects are still pending,” the Commissioner said.

He said the the protesters who vandalized and looted properties in 10 local government areas, have also vandalized and looted the state government fertilizer stores in Babura and Hadeja local government areas of the State.
