Hundreds of protesters wearing facing caps with “peace”, inscriptions have stormed the Streets of Kano, chasing away other protesters who went on looting shops and other commercial places.

The protesters were shouting, “Mu Yanci Mukeso Ba Ruwan mu da Kayan kowa”, meaning, “We need Freedom from the Government we don’t want anybody’s property,” as they carried placards across the state.

As the protests took its hills, many places were looted and set ablaze including the NCC office at State Road, and other places.

The NCC office was newly built and ready for commissioning soon, however, the protesters looted the place and set it on fire.

Similarly, unconfirmed reports have it that some people were shot at by the security who tried to penetrate the Government House.
