EFCC Arrests Five Alleged Internet Fraudsters In Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) FCT Zonal Command, on Thursday confirmed the arrest of five suspected online fraudsters in Abuja.

The commission made this disclosure in a post shared on its verified X page; announcing that the suspects were arrested following a predawn sting operation at the Ipent 7 Estate in Gwarimpa, Abuja, as a result of intelligence and monitoring on their alleged fraudulent activities in the estate.


The suspects were found in possession of a white Toyota Hilux, an ash-coloured Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 2014 model, and a white Mercedes-Benz GLE 43 AMG 2017 model.

The anti-graft agency noted that the suspects will be charged in court after the investigations were completed.
