Peace Oladapo The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Enugu Zonal Command on Wednesday confirmed the arrest of 23 suspected online fraudsters in Enugu State.
Speaking in a statement issued by the spokesperson of the anti-graft agency, the commission said the suspects were apprehended on Friday, May 10, 2024, in Igboeze, Nsukka, and Enugu metropolis.
It stated that their arrest was based on actionable intelligence regarding their purported online criminal activity.

Three cars, mobile phones, laptop computers, one Point of Sale (POS) machine, and other damning documents were among the items discovered.
The anti-graft agency added that they will be charged in court once the investigations are completed.
