The operatives of the Gombe Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 21 suspected internet fraudsters in Yola, Adamawa State.
The arrests were made on late Tuesday, September 24, 2024, during coordinated raids at various locations around Modibo Adama University, Yola.
During the operation, EFCC operatives recovered 13 phones, 12 Android devices, a laptop, and a tablet.

All the retrieved devices were suspected to have been used in fraudulent activities.
The suspects are currently undergoing interrogation and they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
This crackdown is part of the EFCC’s ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and protect Nigerians from the growing menace of internet fraud.
