EFCC Arrest Two In Enugu For Money Racketeering

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Enugu Zonal Command, has arrested Nweke Daniel Kelechi and Iroude Chibuzor for alleged currency racketeering of N850,000.

The suspects were apprehended after a sting operation in Enugu State involving United Bank for Africa (UBA), and ESBS.

New Telegraph gathered that their arrest followed actionable intelligence and surveillance of the suspects’ activities.

Chibuzor was caught during the operation, but it was later determined that he was working for Kelechi, who had given him permission to sell new notes.

The commission said that they will be charged in court as soon as the investigations were completed.
