The former governor of Edo State and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has declared that the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Monday Okpebholo in the 2024 governorship election is a divine intervention.
Oshiomhole who spoke following Okpebholo’s victory announcement said Okpebholo’s leadership will compensate for the eight years under Governor Godwin Obaseki and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He emphasized that the APC does not subscribe to a “do-or-die” mentality but believes in the power of the electorate to choose their leaders.
Reflecting on the previous administration, Oshiomhole described Obaseki’s tenure as a disaster, asserting that Edo State has been spared from further turmoil that would have resulted from a victory by PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
