Edo Poll: Obi Mobilizes Support For LP Ahead Of Guber Election

The Labour Party’s 2023 Presidential candidate, Peter Obi on Tuesday joined the party in Benin to mobilize votes ahead of the State’s September 21 governorship election.

Speaking at various campaign locations, Obi urged eligible voters in the state to come out en masse to cast their votes for the party. He promised that the party’s governorship candidate would fix the state and move it forward, reducing the current hardship being felt in the state.

He said, “The Nigerian State is sick, there is hardship in the country. I want to tell you that our governorship candidate, Mr Olumide Akpata will work to ensure he alleviates the suffering of Edo State.”

The campaign train moved from the party’s secretariat on Sakponba Road through Ring Road, Oba Market, Mission Road, New Benin, and New Lagos Road, despite the rain.

Other members of the entourage included Aisha Yusuf.
