Ahead of the 2024 Edo State gubernatorial election, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state has commenced its ward-to-ward campaigns
The party in a press statement signed by Rev Olu Martins, Deputy Director-General Media and Publicity Asue/Ogie Campaign Management Council, said the PDP Ward to Ward campaigns will start from Thursday, 25th July 2024 and will be led by its Director General, the RT Hon Matthew Iduoriyekewhen.
He said the Ward to Ward campaign will afford the party the opportunity to meet party faithfuls at the grassroot level, which will afford them the opportunity to be acquainted with the programs and visions of the candidate.
His statement reads in part. “Our great party the People’s Democratic Party will be commencing Ward-to-Ward campaigns starting from the 25th July 2024.
“The ward tours will afford us the opportunity of meeting our party faithfuls at the grassroots level so that they can better be acquainted with the programs and vision of our candidate Dr Asue Ighodalo and Deputy Barr Osarodion Ogie.
“The tours will also serve as a platform for our candidate and the party to vigorously take the message of prosperity to the grassroots so that no one is left out in our pursuit of a prosperous Edo State.
“On the entourage of our candidate are the party executives led by our very own Dr Tony Aziegbemi. Also consciously and gallantly visible is the campaign council ably led by its Director General, the RT Hon Matthew Iduoriyekewhen
“No doubt that the People’s Democratic Party is the most prepared party for the September 21st election not only because we are a very organized party but also because our candidate Dr Asue Ighodalo is forward-looking, focused and hardworking.
“We enjoin party faithfuls to come out in their usual enthusiastic large numbers as they have always done to welcome and mobilize their friends and family for the “Men Wey Sabi” and his solid entourage,” he said.
