DSS Nabs Fugitives Involved In Agosasa Obaship Crisis

The operatives of Ogun State Secret Police have apprehended the fugitives involved in the obaship crisis that rocked the Agosasa Community in the Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The fugitives; Fatai Ajibola (Oga Ilu Agosasa ) and a self-acclaimed community youth leader, Sunday Oyero, were apprehended by operatives of the secret police following a tip-off.

The DSS operatives monitored the movements of Ajibola and Oyero around a High Court in Ilaro, where they were said to be answering to charges relating to arson, among others.

Findings revealed that the judge who is presiding over the matter, Justice A. Shobayo, was done with the case and sensing the presence of operatives of Nigeria Police and DSS outside the court, the fugitives triggered alarm of an impending arrest which necessitated the judge’s inviting an operative to clarify their mission.

The duo were subsequently apprehended in their vehicles outside Ilaro court while attempting to flee as usual.

Both Ajibola and Oyero were alleged to have severally sponsored a series of violent attacks at Agosasa prior to and in the aftermath of Oba Akinpelu’s official coronation leaving the community in despair. Several invitations extended to the duo by the DSS were said to have been ignored.

The culprits were reported to have been involved in widespread acts of violence in Agosasa while attempting to install one Sunday Abogunrin as Community Monarch against Ogun government-approved Azeez Akinpelu (HRH), resulting in killings and free use of weapons on innocent locals therein.

New Telegraph learnt that the arrested culprits are cooling their heels at the State Command of the DSS in Abeokuta for further investigation.
