The Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday distanced itself from the alleged raid of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) headquarters in Abuja.
New Telegraph had earlier reported that the the leadership of the NLC claimed that the operatives of the DSS raided its office on Tuesday night with no officials in sight.
Reacting to the allegation on it verified X handle, the DSS specifically said that it did not carry out any operation at the NLC office in Abuja.
“Please kindly note that the Service (DSS) did not carry out any operation at the NLC office in Abuja,” the terse statement read.

New Telegraph reports that the NLC raised the alarm over the reported invasion of its office by security agents.
The union in a statement signed by Comrade Benson Upah, Head, Media and Public Relations, and shared on its official X handle on Wednesday, claimed that a troop of heavily armed security operatives invaded the Labour House in the Central Business District, Abuja.
Labour also called for the immediate withdrawal of Federal Government armed security agents from its office.
Reacting to the development, Senator Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker, declared the invasion of the NLC headquarters as needless, unconscionable and condemnable.
