The estranged wife of Nigerian media entrepreneur, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, popularly known as Do2tun, Omotayo Oyebanjo has been found guilty of contempt by the court over her refusal to allow Dotun to see his kids.
Omotayo, the sister of the famous Nigerian singer, D’Banj who filed for divorce in Abuja, was found guilty of contempt of court and may face a jail term.
It would be recalled that the court granted Dotun and his estranged wife shared custody of the children in suit No. GWD/PET/25/21 after Dotun requested for it in April 2022 and both parties initially consented.
However, a high court in Dukpa, Abuja, found Omotayo Oyebanjo guilty of breaching the court’s decision on the couple’s joint custody of their children.

However, Omotayo has refused to allow her estranged husband to have access to their children since December 2022, despite the court’s ruling, stating no reason.
This resulted in Dotun taking legal action, sparking a recent violent and severe social media feud between the two.
Following Dotun’s report over his children’s custody, the court had declared that Omotayo’s refusal to give Dotun Kayode access to and custody of the children in December 2022 constituted a violation of the court’s order, and it found her guilty of doing so.
The court also ordered Omotayo to pay N200,000 within 30 days or face jail time until the fine is paid.
Meanwhile, reports claim that Dotun’s estranged wife’s lawyers tried to withdraw their representation after the ruling was delivered. For the trial, the matter was nevertheless moved to December 11th.
