Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Davido Adeleke, better known as Davido has reacted to Sophia Momodu’s comment on his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke in a counter affidavit, amid joint custody of their daughter, Imade Adeleke.

New Telegraph had earlier reported that Sophia Momodu submitted a 100-paragraph counter-affidavit following the singer’s request for joint custody.

In paragraph 76, Sophia recounted how Davido lost his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke to a domestic accident which she described as negligence, citing it as a reason to keep her daughter away from the singer.

Responding to Sophia’s comment, Davido slammed her for always poking a healing wound despite the pain he and his wife, Chioma shoulder.

He subtly speaks about letting go of the custody case temporarily while stating that someday, his daughter would grow up to see that he fought to be in her life.

Speaking via his verified X handle on Saturday, the DMW boss emphasized how much he loves his daughter, Imade.

He said; “You’re constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us every day of our lives.

“Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now u can have her.

“P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy ❤️ Imade Aurora Adeleke! Your father loves you!”
