Dangote Refinery Commences Petrol Loading

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced loading of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol or fuel, marking a significant step in Nigeria’s fuel distribution efforts.

This was contained in a video post on the official X handle of dangote refinery on Sunday, September 15.

This development comes on the heels of Nigeria’s fuel scarcity challenges, which have strained the supply chain across the country.

Sunday Telegraph had earlier reported that  the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) deployed 300 trucks to the refinery to lift fuel, emphasizing the government’s commitment to addressing shortages.

The commencement of PMS loading comes at a crucial time, as the refinery is expected to play a pivotal role in stabilizing fuel availability across Nigeria.

Dangote refinery, which is one of the largest in Africa, is set to transform the Nigerian oil industry and significantly reduce the country’s reliance on imported fuel.
