The Acting National Chairman of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum on Friday met with Governor Bala Mohammed at the Bauchi State Government House to address pressing issues within the party.
Damagum’s visit follows recent turmoil in the PDP, including a factional decision to suspend him and appoint Yayari Mohammed as the new acting National Chairman.
According to Damagun, the meeting aimed to foster dialogue and seek resolutions to the internal conflicts currently plaguing the party.
Speaking with Governor Mohammed who doubled as the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ forum, Damagum emphasized the need for unity and collaboration among party members to navigate the challenges ahead.

In response, Governor Mohammed reiterated his commitment to supporting Damagum and working with other governors to restore stability and coherence within the party.
