CSOs Ask Tinubu To Probe, Sack NMDPRA Boss

Civil society organisations have called on President Bola Tinubu to sack the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) Farouk Ahmed and launch an investigation into possible acts of sabotage against operations of the refineries.

The Empowerment For Unemployed Youth Innovative, Rising Up for a United Nigeria, Patriotic Nigeria Youth Forum, Guidance of Democracy and Development Initiative and Citizens Awareness Against Corruption and Social Vices Initiative (CAACASVI) made the call at a news conference yesterday in Abuja.

Led by the convener of the Empowerment For Unemployed Youth Innovative, Danesi Prince, the CSOs while describing Ahmed as the “face of the oil and gas cartel in Nigeria,” threatened to halt activities at the NMDPRA office by occupying its premises should.
