The Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Ikorodu is set to hear a suit filed by Joseph Aloba, the father of late Nigerian singer, Mohbad seeking a DNA test for his grandson, Liam.
This is contained in a statement issued by Monisola Odumosu, the head of the Aloba family’s legal team.
New Telegraph recalls that Mohbad’s father recently called on the police to probe his daughter-in-law, Omowunmi over the cause of the singer’s death.

The statement reads; “A date has been fixed for mention of the application for a DNA test by the family of late singer Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba known as Mohbad, who died in an unusual circumstance on September 12, 2023.
“All necessary legal apparatus are (sic) in place towards the success of the matter. The application is at the Ikorodu Magistrate Court (MKD/31/FAM/2024), Joseph Aloba v Cynthia Omowunmi Aloba.
“The family, represented by the deceased’s father, is seeking an order directing a deoxyribonucleic acid test to be conducted following the paternity of an alleged son of Mr Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba (deceased), Liam Aloba, in a recognised and accredited private or government medical facility within Lagos State, Nigeria at the expense of the applicant.”
